This
is the Seven Card Stud version of Spit in the Ocean. The first card
is dealt into the middle face up, is wild and is presumed to belong
to all hands. After that the game proceeds as in Seven Card Stud
except that only six cards are given to each player, the first two
down, the next three up, and the final card down. Four of a kind
is the average winning hand.
This is a variation of Cincinnati. Each player is dealt five cards
as in Draw. Then ten cards are dealt face down in the center in
two rows of five cards each. The center cards are turned up one
at a time, the top row first, an interval of betting taking place
after each card.
At the showdown a player may use any five cards from his own hand
or from one of the "bedsprings" in the center. A bedspring
is the two corresponding cards, one in the top row, one in the bottom.
For instance, the first card in the top row and the first card in
the other row form a bedspring. .
